Richard was a rock of support during a very difficult sale for our family. We had to travel a long distance to clear out a long-neglected house of an elderly relative. Richard went above and beyond the call of duty, offering advice and being on hand to let tradespeople enter when necessary. We got the place clear and deep cleaned ready for the incredible drone shots of the plot and the house was sold with the money in our account in 65 DAYS! We got above our asking price, but didn't start greedy. Richard really knows the business of selling houses, the Devon market and is personable. He set boundaries with our buyers so we wouldn't be messed about and mediated where necessary. It was by far the smoothest sale I have ever experienced. Our journey with Richard started in 2021, he has always been professional, informative and very, very supportive. I contacted several estate agents before we chose Richard and each of them seemed very professional; I thought at the time we probably could have chosen any of them. However, everything that happened since then convinces me that Richard was by far the best choice. The stand out issue for me was the real feeling of partnership that Richard brought to the task. I contacted him far more frequently than I realised I would have done with a large agency. He really was always available answering questions about the process and giving all sorts of advice - even helping me dress the property and work with the photographer. He was utterly professional in setting up visits for buyers and in making sure he was fully informed about every aspect of our property. We opted to work with his preferred solicitors and this also proved a bonus - none of the apparent feet-dragging of previous sales.
